Due to the new CPSIA law and until it is amended I will not be making any boutique item for use by children or intended use for children under the age of 12.
I will be adding links and information on the new law that was sneakily passed in August and goes into effect 2/10/09 on my This and That and Policy pages.
As a consumer it will effect you as well so read up on it and contact your representatives.

What's upcycling you may ask?

The Lowdown on Upcycling

Upcycling is taking something that is destined for the trash bin and transforming it into something of value and beauty.

You may be asking, what is the difference between upcycling and recycling? Recycling is taking something that already has value, such as an aluminum can, and remaking it into the same or similar item.

In contrast, upcycling increases the value of the original item by giving it new and useful beauty.

This can be as simple as taking a piece of waste paper and transforming it into beads or other useful jewelry-making components. Almost anything that is destined for the landfill has limitless upcycling potential.
